Short Term Goals Goal 1 - Academic Achievement for All StudentsBy the end of the 2011-2012 school year, 90% or more of students, who have completed a full year of instruction in Lombard Elementary School District 44, will be performing in Tier 1 in reading and math as measured by the MAP test (Measure of Academic Progress) in grades 1-8. Goal 2 – Academic Achievement for Black Students By the end of the 2011-2012 school year, Lombard School District 44 will strive to close the achievement gap for Black students. These students, who have completed a full year of instruction in the district, will experience a 10% gain in performance for reading and math in each grade level cohort, as measured by the MAP test, in grades 1-8. The district will strive to have 90% of all Black students performing in Tier 1 for reading and math by 2014. This goal will be accomplished by increasing their skills through the following best practice actions:
Goal 3 – Social Emotional During the 2011-2012 school year, the DESSA (DEvereux Student Strengths Assessment) will be administered to all students in the Fall and Spring. By the end of the 2011-2012 school year, our student strengths assessment data will provide us with the ability to make an informed recommendation related to Tier 1, 2, and 3 social emotional learning needs of our students. Goal 4 - Fiscal Responsibility In order to ensure the District’s future financial stability, the District will continue to identify revenue enhancements such as staff turnover savings, Medicaid reimbursement funds and energy cost efficiencies. Additionally, the District will continue to identify expenditure reductions through an on-going review of staffing levels and resources. The District seeks to recognize $750,000.00 in funds as a result of these financial practices. |
